A Divine Arcane Archer with legendary CC (2024)

Hello, my goal is to find the ideal Build that has full healing capacity and can crowed-control legendary elite mobs reliably. Best case scenario would even be a safety buffer for future mobs with higher saves.

After some testing I am set for 41 points into the elven Arcane Archer tree and WIS as a main stat for CC DCs and to hit. Damage could either come from DEX (elven Grace or DWS Improved Weapon Finesse) or STR (Bow-Strength + Divine Might). Strategic Combat II from Harper for INT-to-damage isn’t an option because there aren’t enough action points for this. As one has to invest a minimum of 14 action points into Elf for AA anyway I think going for Grace and Skill is the best option. ED will be Shiradi mostly* because of Nerve Venom and more WIS. And the extra damage from Shiradi uses the same spellpower as Scion of the Feywild.

*Edit: Any +WIS ED is playable, sometimes the extra healing from Exalted Angel is more useful than the little extra damage and extra CC from Shiradi.

This build got the best DCs on the AA imbues so far. Damage with elemental arrows is OK if you have the gear to boost spellpower (not much spellpower coming from the build itself).

= DC 77 for the arrow imbues

A Difficulty Check of 77+ on every paralyzing arrow hitting a target combined with nerve venom, pin and whistler is very solid CC. Terror arrows are fun to use too and get you some cred on the killcount. Damage on rednamed and bosses is OK-ish with the elemental imbues, the good doubleshot chance and manyshot. I would even say the damage is solid for a CC focused healer. A big bonus compared to my caster cleric is that I don't need spellpoints for anything but healing and buffing.
