BONSAI & CATHOLIC SPIRITUALITY. I got into working on Bonsai to practice this craft right after Covid had hit NYC. Awesome ideas and great work came from working small plants. This Jade Tree was grown at home through propagation. The scenery has a the image San Martin de Porres, and a Religious visiting the saint for prayer and intercession. There are also lights near the statue, with a 9 volt battery to power it. The purpose for this scenery is to help Catholic see the connection with the care of a plant and the care for one’s soul in prayer. A lesson I need to keep practicing is each day. https://lnkd.in/eZjPukc9All of the sceneries can customized to your liking. LEVELING THE PRAYING FIELD is a challenging book that provokes the mind and heart of any Pastoral Leader to real action. Dr. Ansel Augustine weaves his experience of life, culture, and Catholicism in New Orleans into Catechetical experience. When reading this book, you are trapped by the images he presents, making you see that we played the parts in which racism exists in our communities. Dr Augustine digs deep into the social sins that have us divided as a Church. “Can the Church We Love, Love Us Back?” He believes it can, but we have to uproot the weeds of sin for healing to start.Get your copy of his book today. A great book for those in Pastoral Ministry and Youth Ministry. https://a.co/d/eolJF8O#RenewYourVisionDHTDr. Ansel Augustine

BONSAI & CATHOLIC SPIRITUALITY - Just as the Body needs water for both physical and spiritual nourishment, the life of a young Vinca or other plants needs water to grow. Every day I would water these plants by submerging the pots in water. If I didn’t water the Vincas daily, or even give them plant food once a week, they would dry up, or suffer. I can’t help to reflect on my own prayer life, if I stopped talking to God I would die out. It would show, just like seeing a plant suffer, you can notice the leaves and branches dry up. Even the dirt would harden up. The plant is in need of water, with good soil and bit of the sun, just like our souls are in need of the Son, who provides nurturing soil, water, and light. If you’re into seeing plants grow, use their life as an example of your thirst for God. Prayer can take you far. I’m learning to get back to that… https://lnkd.in/en4sUASC#BonsaiAndCatholicSpirituality#beanechoofthegospel#faithformationcount#Vincas#Grace#RenewYourVisionDHT

Chef Joey Jean-Pierre was right… What brings people together is food. At the table, great food and great drink, can open up folks to Communion, even if they have different beliefs. I’ll never forget that. #CommunionOfSaints

BONSAI & CATHOLIC SPIRITUALITY - Grace… the gift God gives to each person, drawing us to Himself. Granting us unlimited blessings. Through Grace, God calls us to familiar Communion with Him and with the rest of humanity. This Grace connect us to life on this planet and in the universe. As His children, Grace helps us to understand that Our Father sees us as the very image of His beloved Son, Jesus Christ. With in our mind, we practice our Faith as best to be Christ in our world. Easy to say, yet very hard to do - with Him, Grace makes it possible. This scenery should remind us that God is the giver of Grace, part of that is when He send us the Saints to help us reach eternal life. Mary, the only one who said “yes” to God, Magnifies His Grace perfectly. We have a Spiritual Mom who draws us to God. (Luke 1)Enjoy the video. Like, Share, and Comment. CREATING A NETWORK takes time. Once you’re done, now you can slowly start bringing the Parish Youth and Young Adult members to resources that can help them in their Life Vocation or Career Vocation. A healthy youth ministry can be a blessing for a Parish when a Comprehensive Plan is set. Not only will the youth or young adults receive the benefits, but even the families as well. Examples: Youth become the inspiration for Parents to receive their Sacraments of Initiation, and get married through the Church. Youth belongs to one or the Parish youth groups and is in need of food for their family. Young Adult lost his or her job. Has lost hope finding a job that matches what they studied and would like to do. The list can go on, and while new scenarios develop, the parish begins to create new groups or ministries to address the pastoral needs of their parishioners and the community. Youth who inspire and participate with adults to create these opportunities for community development will continue the Parish Mission within their boundaries. It will also inspire Parishes to do the same. I seen it in person that this theory works in practice. Try it. You’d be surprised on how fast your parish will grow. #RenewYourVisionDHT#RenewingTheVision#BeAnEchoOfTheGospel#faithformationcounts
